Tournament: maybe | Round: 1 | Opponent: nah | Judge: nah
(I'm only gonna read this for AFF against big schools during bid tournaments. It's kinda funny to me but if you don't read theory I won't read it. Just be chill and don't read disclosure theory on me please I beg of you.)
Interp: The AFF and NEG should switch their cases.
Standards:
The AFF should give their NEG cases to the NEG and vice versa. If they don’t do this before the round, the AFF will read their NEG case for the NEG and the NEG will read their AFF case for the AFF. Rebuttals will be done defending their side. Must be topical enough. No tricks. No unfair cases. (the judge can monitor this.)
Prefer
A: Forces self-criticism even more than normal switch side debate because ITS LITERALLY YOUR CASE
B: Solves small school lack of resources because they can get a case that is at least as good as their own
C: Reduces NEG skew because the AFF knows what they will go against
This comes first because it is the best for debate
It’s preferred for the two teams to talk before so they can understand the cases. If my opponent doesn’t understand, it’s their fault for not contacting me.
Violation:
It’s a preemptive violation. If I’m reading this, we did not agree before the round to switch cases so now I’m gonna read your case for you. If you read another case to support your side, that is a violation, and you must be dropped because then I have no substantial offense.
Voters:
A: Education – This is the best way to learn about other cases. Normally, you never learn about other people’s cases until you go against them. Now we can both learn about other cases at the same time.
B: Fairness – The NEG statistically wins more rounds

It is also interesting to look
+
skew is not unintentionally reversed.
We must test this theory so we can find a way to even the playing field for the AFF and NEG
This is also fair to small school debaters like me who do not have as many resources because they will get better evidence and cases from big schools.
